Hannes Schneider |
As the grandson of the Austrian ski-meister
Hannes Schneider, Hannes has inherited a great love of the sport of skiing.
In recent years his interests have begun to lean more towards backcountry
ski experiences. As a long time Mt. Washington Valley resident and skier his
love of skiing and newfound backcountry enthusiasm extend to the Tuckerman
Ravine.
Hannes is a graduate of the Holderness School in Plymouth NH and the
University of NH in Durham with degrees in civil engineering and business
management. He works as a project manager for White Bros. Inc in Westbrook
ME. As a member of FOTR education committee Hannes hopes to bring his
education and work experience to help with the parking project in Pinkham
Notch, as well as other infra structure projects. He sees the balance
between maintaining a true outdoor experience and dealing with increased
usage as the biggest challenge facing our national forests and parks.
Hannes currently lives Denmark ME with his wife and two children. |
